Our Lake Hollywood

Neighbors and City officials gathered at the Tahoe entrance to Lake Hollywood to discuss anticipated access to the jogging and walking path around the lake. Since the torrential rains several years ago caused landslides around our lake, neighbors have not be allowed to use it as many have done in years past. The scope of work has been monumental and the L.A.D.W.P. have had crews out (weather permitting) constantly.
Marty Adams, Director of Water Quality and Operations for the DWP says that neighbors can walk from the Tahoe entrance almost all the way around and then must double back in order to leave. That eastern portion of the road will not be opening up any time soon as they have much left to do there. The access opportunities are currently very limited
: Saturdays from 2 p.m. until sunset and Sundays from sunrise to sunset. By spring 2009, neighbors can walk this portion of Lake Hollywood all week and weekend long.
