This gentle 6 yo female longhaired shepherd mix
is scared and traumatized by the shelter. Her
family who decided they didn’t have time for her
anymore dropped her at the shelter. Her thick
coat was so matted and dirty she had to be
shaved, including her ears, and all she has left
of her real looks is a long bushy tail. Don't
let her "terrier-like" appearance fool you; she
has a thick beautiful coat that’s starting to
grow back. I think she's just embarrassed right
now. Maggie is so shy, she looks pleadingly for
attention, but just shivers in her cage. The
volunteers and staff at shelter have a special
liking for her and with their help; Maggie now
comes to the front of her cage, and presses
against it for patting and ear scratching. Her
family said she was an "outdoor" dog though i
can see her happily curled up on the couch.
Maggie is still held at the North Central Los
Angeles Animal Shelter so her life is in
jeopardy. Please help us find her a home.
