We have approximately 3, 040. We donated 300 to Cheremoya
Elementary School.
Crime report
Burglary theft from auto is down to about half of what is was. Only
12 instead 22
Gower traffic is bad, Jack Fitzgerald
reports. Cars are speeding down this stretch. A study was asked to be
made. We need to followup on that study. Jack will call Michelle Fleenor
from Tom Labounge’s office to follow up. Call Rob Camou from DOT.
Further discussion on counting cars.
Zoning update. There is a very nice
man Young Ko who illegally built two units. No parking made for those
units. There is going to be a hearing next Tuesday, May 25. Fran, Larry
and Missy will go. Tina
has gotten several changes made in her area. Call for members to attend.
You can email or fax a letter stating that you oppose the variance. Fax is
better than email.
Announcements: Jack Fitzgerald
received an email re commentary on parking on Gower. There should not be
parking. The issue is related to fire department not allowing parking on
any street less than 20 feet wide. No parking would be in effect only
during fire season. Jack
opposes having no parking on Gower. Missy suggests getting a parking
study. Speed humps and bumps make more noise according to Missy. Further
discussion.
Street sign at Woodhaven and Westshire
is down. Discussion of getting Woodhaven repaved. One resident doesn’t
want it done because speeders would go too fast.
Further discussion on parking problem
and need for the association and residents to force the planning
commission and other city agencies to deal with the problem in a positive
manner.
Discussion on repaving Beachwood, will
be concrete but when who knows.
David Livingston has a photo
celebration of the Hollywood sign which is here at Hollywood realty on
June 5 and 6, behind the building.
Meeting
adjourned at 8:05pm.
