Street Improvement Report: Tina Roman
Two letters have been sent; one to Brian Gallagher
regarding installation of stop signs and re-painting of curbs along Beachwood Canyon. A letter has been sent to Bureau of Street
Services regarding trash cans being left out on streets constantly. Proposal being made to Jeanne Chang of
Councilmember LaBonges office regarding monetary fine for people who violate the
law. A
request in being made to have streets in the area re-paved. Brian
Gallagher says a three way stop will be installed at Beachwood and Rodgerton.
George has been working with Street Services to stop
the natural spring at Rodgerton and Ledgewood. Inspections
are being done.
There were comments about the lack of safety at that
intersection.
A natural spring is also occurring at Woodshire. Maureen reports that a spring is occurring on
Foothilll Drive between Bronson and Wilton. Missy will inspect and report to Tina.
Norma reports that trash trucks on street at 5:30AM is
horrendous noise. Speeding cars on Gower need
to be stopped; Brian Gallagher is working get
an all-way stop at Gower and Carmen Place and to install speed bumps on Gower; street erosion is occurring on Gower;
George reports that he listed priorities at Tom
LaBonge 4th District Congress last night and that all priorities had to do with
street services. George says that City
must repave streets with concrete not asphalt and possibly utilize the street profiling
system.
Byrd commends Tina for hard work on street
improvements! He asked that everyone take photos of problems on streets to help us get the
Citys attention. Byrd also commended Norma Foster for the great photos she has taken
of the problems in her area. He asks that the address of the problem area be placed on the
back of the photo along with a description of the problem so the City knows what they are
looking at, where it is and what needs to be done to remedy the situation. He asks that a
date be added when the photo was taken.
