On August 9, 2011, the Beachwood Canyon Neighborhood
Association submitted our request for a Special Federal
Aviation Regulation to limit non-emergency fixed wing and helicopter
traffic to above 2,000 feet above ground level (AGL) over
the area that we call the Mt. Lee Area (see exhibit A).
Currently, we are securing support from all groups within
this area as well as the City Council. We have already
received unanimous support from the Van Nuys Airport
Citizen's Advisory Council in their October 2011 meeting.
