Project Background:
The City of Los Angeles Department of
Public Works would like to inform you of a new sewer project
that will soon begin in your neighborhood. The sewers in
this area were originally built in 1923, prior to being
annexed to the City of Los Angeles. It was later discovered
that these sewers contain many sharp bends, and do not have
adequate maintenance holes for access and repair. This
project will provide the much needed maintenance holes to
allow for proper sewer service and reduce the possibility of
spills and odors. Future projects will take place in other
portions of the community.
The approximate boundary of the project
is Rodgerton Drive on the north, Ledgewood Drive on the
west, Beachwood Drive on the east, and Belden Drive on the
south.
Due to the narrow, winding, hilly
streets and congested, shallow underground utilities, the
duration of the work that may take place in front of your
property is unknown at this time. Any inconveniences to you
will be minimized as much as possible while the work is
underway. Local access will be allowed.
